very nice shot of him

Description
Deer won't run immediately but will try to determine whether danger is present and which way to flee. When they stand on alert, they try to sense motion, to help identify the potential predator. This is the freeze response. By not moving, I was able to have the deer freeze this position a little longer, to get a few photos. Then the flight response took over and the deer all bounded off into the woods.
